10. Hickory Dickory Park - Once known as Hickory Lane Park before the name was changed back in 1999, Hickory Dickory Park is a unique playground that caters to children and families. It is a favorite among many local children. It features a large fort that kids can play in and around. In addition, it has swings, slides, and many other common playground structures. Access to the park is free. Parking is also free. It has good clean bathroom facilities as well. A great place to take your kids or the whole family for a picnic.

9. The Hound - A family owned and operated restaurant that features classic southern food along with a wide selection of craft beer as well as bourbon and whiskey. 8. Plainsman Park - Home of the Auburn Tiger’s baseball team. Seating capacity is 4,096. It opened in 1950 and has since undergone several renovations or facelifts. It is considered one of the best venues for college baseball in the entire country. In 2003 the name of the stadium was officially changed to Samford Stadium – Hitchcock Field at Plainsman Park. It boasts a 37-foot tall left field fence, which many consider to be it’s trademark. Parking is easy and restrooms are nice.

7. Kiesel Park - Auburn’s largest dog park, it features a walking trail approximately 2.25 miles long as well as a pavilion and a garden. There is also a large “off-leash” area where dog owners can let their dogs run free. Kielsel Park is a popular location for dog owners, trail-runners, outside events, music, and weddings. It is well-maintained and wide open. Great location for a picnic. It is open 7 days a week.

6. Southeastern Raptor Center - An excellent place for children, families, and animal lovers. It is a rehabilitation center for raptors and provides education to the general public about them. It is not open to the public except for special occasions and events. However, if you have a chance to go, you will enjoy yourself. They often have a show on Friday when Auburn University Football plays on Saturdays, so it could be a good activity to combine with the Football games in Auburn. The Southeastern Raptor Center charges affordable admission.

5. Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art - This art museum is located on the campus of Auburn University. It boasts 40,000 square feet of interior space. 4. Grand National Golf Course - If you enjoy playing golf you won’t want to miss this opportunity. It features 54 holes on 3 courses. This is considered by many to be one of the best public golf courses in the United States. One of it’s greatest appeals is the beautiful scenic views alongside Sougahatchee lake. The course is well maintained, greens fees are affordable, but beware, it is not a particularly easy place to play golf. So, you may want to bring extra golf balls.

3. Chewacla State Park - Chewacla State Park is a publicly owned recreation area covering approximately 696 acres. Lake Chewacla makes up 26 acres of that and provides opportunities for fishing and swimming. Non-motorized boats are also allowed on the lake. There’s a beautiful waterfall and other scenery. In addition to water activities, the area provides trails for hiking and mountain biking. There are cabins, a campground, and full hookups for RV’s. It’s open 7 days a week.

2. Toomer's Corner - A drug store, an ice cream shop, and restaurant, but Toomer’s Corner is probably best known for it’s lemonade. This could almost have been the #1 location on the list of places to visit in Auburn. Located in the heart of Auburn, it is a historic landmark and one of the city’s most prized locations. It’s been around since 1896. It is a popular hangout for college students. Most visitors make sure to check out Toomer’s at least once when they come to Auburn.

1. Jordan-Hare Stadium - Home field for the Auburn University football team. The stadium capacity is 87,451. It is the 10th largest stadium in college football. Originally constructed in 1939, this stadium has seen many renovations and expansions over the years. It is estimated that as  many as 20 million people have watched a football game here. As an SEC program, this stadium has one of the greatest atmospheres in all of college football. In addition to playing host to Auburn football, the stadium is used as a concert venue quite often as well.
